Black & White in COLOR #1

I'd like to make this a regular feature...providing I can keep finding the photos to support it. The basic idea will be to run some interesting color shots from movies and TV shows best known for originally being black and white. First up --These great shots from the set of the original Addams Family. A feast for the glozzies.

In case ya didn't know, the main Addams Family interior set was cobbled down to tv stage size from the considerably larger mansion set originally constructed for the theatrical production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown!

Since Morticia was one of my earliest crushes the image of her with the red nails and fake eyelashes --dressed up like Santa-- oog!...That still make brain hurt.

All those pictures did was make me want a cigar...Actually, that particular kind of cigar is pretty much out of favor with the modern aficianado...Can still find 'em in profusion in London and most of continental Europe though...Neat pics, and yeah, that Santa thing; thanks a lot for putting THAT in my mind! Sheesh!

That first picture of Gomez I've got on an old bubblegum card from the sixties - which was printed in black and white, of course. Neat to finally see it in color! I've got to get a copy of the revised & much-improved "Addams Family Companion"...its like a whole different book than its earlier edition, what with all the color stuff added.
